Any idea when the Rossland thift store might be accepting donations again?

Call them first, but I think Tuesday mornings are usually a good time.

Please call 250-362-0037 for when you can donate.  Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are our main sorting mornings - call about 11.

We are aware that people get  frustrated when they can't drop stuff off. Please be patient as we get a huge volume of donations. Perhaps consider volunteering - contact Heather at the store for more information.

Huge volume of donations but it seems like hardly any stuff is put out sometimes. I get that they're volunteers and doing their best, but why not put out more things?

Low prices = items move quickly = more donations can be accepted = good for recycling, buyers, and charities that receive funds.

Higher prices = items move more slowly = fewer donations can be accepted and frustrated donors give elsewhere = worse for recycling = OK for higher-income buyers, worse for lower-income buyers, neutral for sellers and charities as higher prices can make up for lower sales - unless donations drop off and therefore there is less to sell.

Just sayin'.

I've shopped at other Kootenay/Boundary thrift shops, Rossland's prices are lower than most of those.

Most things are lower priced than most other Thrift stores. Also when you shop there you are mainly supporting your Hospital, Student Bursaries, Homeless Support, Seniors, and several other similar organizations. Also a big thank you goes out to the Donors who do it to support the above.

Is ther any other store that you can go to and never know what you will find. I think Garage Salers go Garage Saling for the same reason, entertainment.

Thanks to all the thrift store volunteers who spend countless hours sorting, setting up and selling.  I've noticed the store has become more and more popular with out-of-towners, so things sell quickly!
